Preparing your practice and your clients' businesses for succession. Recent studies estimate that over a third of small business owners that plan to retire in the near future do not have a succession strategy in place. Amazingly though many of these are also dependant on the proceeds of the sale/exit from the business to fund retirement. 

There is a huge opportunity for succession planning services. Whilst this can involve putting a structed process in place, more often than not it also requires some soft skills to reach the heart of the succession issues and the loss of control which often occurs as the owner relinquishes some of the business control to the successor.
